SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER – CYCLE A – 10th MAY 2026

ROSARY FOR LIFE – THE SORROWFUL MYSTERIES

pray for peace and victims of war (10-16 May)

SIGN OF THE CROSS In the name of the Father…

APOSTLE’S CREED I believe in God…

OUR FATHER Our Father who art…

HAIL MARY Hail Mary full of grace… (Repeat 3x)

GLORY BE Glory be to the Father…

The First Sorrowful Mystery: The Agony in the Garden Matthew 26:46

PRAYER INTENTION

We offer this decade for all living in the fear and shadow of war: may they be comforted by the Lord Jesus who, in his own agony, placed all things trustingly in the Father’s hands.

Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be

FATIMA PRAYER

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,

save us from the fires of hell,

lead all souls to heaven,

especially those most need of Thy mercy.

The Second Sorrowful Mystery: The Scourging at the Pillar Mark 15:15

PRAYER INTENTION

We offer this decade for victims of war: may all innocent victims of war and violence, especially children, be held by Jesus — the innocent one who suffered for our sake — and may their suffering be brought to an end.

Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer

The Third Sorrowful Mystery: The Crowning with Thorns John 19:1–3

PRAYER INTENTION

We offer this decade for all persecuted Christians, who face ridicule, humiliation, violence and death: may the Lord Jesus strengthen them with the hope of sharing in his resurrection.

Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer

The Fourth Sorrowful Mystery: The Carrying of the Cross John 19:17

PRAYER INTENTION

We offer this decade for all who are working for peace in the face of war: may they be sustained by Christ who carried his cross, knowing that God’s peace will be victorious.

Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer

The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The Crucifixion Luke 23:33–34

PRAYER INTENTION

We offer this decade for all who have lost their lives to war and persecution: may they rest in the Risen Lord Jesus, and may those who grieve them be filled with the hope of the resurrection and the defeat of death.

Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be, Fatima Prayer

CLOSING PRAYER Mary, Queen of Peace, grant us peace in our hearts, harmony in our families and peace throughout the world. Watch over those in the fear and shadow of war, and protect them with your motherly love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

HAIL HOLY QUEEN (SALVE REGINA) Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

CONCLUDING PRAYER Let us pray. O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life. Grant, we beseech Thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

MEMORARE Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me. Amen.
