ST COLUMBA’S CATHOLIC BOYS’ SCHOOL
Message from the Head Teacher, Mr. D Evans, for the School Magazine ‘REFLECTION’
‘At St. Columba’s, we focus on what a school actually does rather than what it says it does. Throughout the year, our Weekly News shines a light on what students at St Columba’s actually do on a week by week basis. I hope this ‘Reflection’ gives a taste of life at St Columba’s over the last twelve months.
Our school vision is a simple one, focused on Gospel Values and the value of each member of our community. Every individual at St Columba’s is known, cared for and encouraged to become the best they can be.
Our community is all about the formation of the whole person – we are much more than an exam factory. Throughout this ‘Reflection’ you can see for yourself how our community cares for each other and for those outside our community. Inspirational staff guide our incredible students so that they are ready for the next steps of their lives; we work closely with our families with mindset that it takes a village to raise a child. I hope the articles you see within these pages put a smile on your face!’
From the reports of boys, their parents and from my own visits to the school, I would fully endorse any application for one of our year six boys to move to St Columba’s School. It is a great school and therefore a great asset to Catholic families and catholic life in this area. Pick up a copy of ‘Reflection’ from the Church porch and you’ll get some idea of how blessed we are to have such a good school here for our boys because ST COLUMBA’S CATHOLIC BOYS’ SCHOOL is a Christian Community where everyone has the right to be happy, be safe and achieve.
